Day 4 and a long but “mindblowingly amazing” day of almost 8 hours walking through the Bewaarkloof. Kevin said: “There are no words to describe the kloof, it is a most astonishing place, I’m glad I’ve done it. I would not left it out for anything.”
He is now across the Olifants River (by the bridge and not walking across – crocodiles have been reported), and sharing a room with 3 petrol bowsers tonight. Somewhere beyond Haenertsburg and heading towards Ohrigstad tomorrow. Rain held him up again today but he might be in KwaZulu-Natal tomorrow.
Now at the start of the Drakensberg. Mileage for today: 50km.
